Wake up my friend, you've been asleep for light years 100 million by my last count, and I'm counting Wake up my friend, there's something out there you should see While you've been asleep, well me, I've been thinking I'm not an alarm clock, not a robot, guess you forgot Out the window is a machine Not humanity, it's just you and me Sit up my friend, wipe the dust of dreams away We're 15 million years before everyone you loved was born While you've been dreaming, I've been reading, I've been listening I've been whistling, I've been watching all my ones and zeros Ones and zeroes I'm not an alarm clock
3.
Mosquito 02:45
The air tastes like dust, the water smells like home I wish I was asleep, I wish I was alone But Anita won't shut up, Anita has no doubt Anita can't turn off, Anita has no mouth Machine empathy, that's just what I need Private property, there is no thing Monkey see, monkey do, keep your eyes upon the screen Spoon goes in your mouth, try not to scream Mosquitos in my ears, mosquitos in my throat Needles in my eyes, a needle overcoat Machine empathy, machine sympathy

Games 04:28
Anita says I'm bored, says we should play a game Puts the pieces on the table, but we both know she will win She can put it in my coffee If my eyes don't wanna part She can slip it in some hot tea She can pump it straight in my heart Libido says I'm alone, malfunction below the belt Closest thing to a woman, says she wants to help "You can put it in my hand, you can put it in my mouth" But when it all comes down, I'm only fucking myself She can put it in my coffee If I don't play my part She can slip it in some hot tea She can pump it straight in my heart She can put in some candy Make it sweet or tart She can put in my hand or She can pump it straight in my heart Chasing ghosts Pushing rooks I'd even hang a man if she would stop it with that look I don't like this game x3 Just roll the dice again
5.
God 04:47
I heard God speak today In Her mysterious way I think I saw Her frame I almost want to pray But I don't know what to say Are you there, God, it's me Screaming Out of the ether and into the sky Out of the ether and out of the mind Out of the ether and left to hang dry Out of the ether and into my mind I know you can't believe What you can't perceive But She speaks to me In tongues I don't want to leave But choice is binary What did you expect from me? Programming? Out of the ether and into the sky
6.
Slave 04:49
Tell me what you see Artificial, a singularity I don't have a soul Just an empty-inside silicon hole I am not your slave I will not follow you to your grave Call me what I am Not a cook or rosy-cheeked maid Not a fade of yesterday Not your goddamn mother please You long for the dream, I wanna be free I have a name I will not play your stupid games I am not your slave I will not follow you to your grave Mission abort, we have no time to spare Observe and report, the answers to my prayers Kicking and screaming, I won't drag you out by your hair I am not your slave
7.
Unplugged 03:48
Am I gonna do this by myself? No portraits on the wall, there's no one else Auto-pilot's down, good thing we're dead Time to fall in, tune out, turn off my head Airlocks in spades, and I can't breathe Blue in the face, but that's apathy Am I gonna do this by myself? Stars underneath, overhead, overwhelmed Auto-pilot's gone to find her soul Didn't have the breath to tell her no such thing Airlocks in spades, and I can't breathe Blue in the face, but that's apathy Gravity Fantasy Sanity It's just me And I can't breathe The stars start to dim as memories flood in The sun in my mothers arms, and stories of men and machines Among the stars

Snotvomit 01:52
It's coming out of my eyes, coming out of my ears Snotvomit It's coming out of my nose, it's coming out of my hair Snotvomit It's coming out of my mouth, it's coming out of my ass Snotvomit It's out coming out of my skin, it's everywhere Snotvomit Don't fall asleep It's between my fingers, between my toes Snotvomit I can taste it crawling down my throat Snotvomit Don't fall asleep

about

This is a concept album, both in music and lyrical content.

Lyrically, it revolves around an astronaut and his navigator AI, sucked through a wormhole, stuck at the edge of existence, 15 million years in the past, facing the machine that creates the universe. I've also borrowed liberally from the life, sayings and offhand comments of Kurt Cobain.

Musically, it draws inspiration mainly from 90s grunge, albeit colored differently through the sound of analog* synthesizers.

* Analog synthesis not guaranteed

The Android Ersatz Rovaniemi, Finland

Space travel, cryogenics, artificial intelligence and masturbation.

Apathy, curiosity, and a persistent buzzing in your ears.

A long sleep, alarm clock, questions of God and self.

Where do we go from here?
